Tour Itinerary
1 | Dark Truths That Are Sure to Plague You With Nightmares |
Charterhouse Square hides a plague pit beneath its cobbles—and the dead haven’t stayed quiet. Restless victims, ghostly monks, and a headless Duke are said to stalk the shadows. Hear their story… but don’t look behind you. |
2 | The Meat’s Not the Only Thing That’s Been Butchered |
Smithfield is no ordinary meat market—it’s a blood-soaked stage of execution and agony and beneath the cobbles lie centuries of torment. See the tortured ghost of William Wallace lingering, hear phantom screams of the martyrs who were burned at the stake, and step carefully–the ground remembers. |
3 | Healing Turned Haunting |
By day, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital offers healing; by night, it becomes a place of suffering. Once a haven for plague victims, its walls now whisper with the echoes of ghostly doctors, dying patients, and a chilling child’s spirit. Look at him long enough, and you might never leave |
4 | Something’s Scratching Beneath the Surface |
In 1762, Cock Lane became infamous for the chilling ‘Scratching Fanny’ haunting—dismissed as a hoax by some, but the eerie scratching and ghostly whispers still linger in the walls. Was it ever truly a hoax, or something far more sinister? |
5 | A Growl in the Night |
The Central Criminal Court now stands on the site of the infamous Newgate Prison—steeped in agony, death, and despair. But some believe the prison’s dark grip hasn’t fully loosened. The spectral Black Dog, a tormented spirit of an unjustly condemned man, still prowls the grounds, its growl a chilling reminder of the horrors that unfolded behind long-gone walls. Keep your eyes wide and your secrets close… you never know who might be watching. |
6 | Here, the Dead Don’t Stay Buried. |
Beneath the beauty of St. Bride’s Church sits a darker truth. Its crypts, once brimming with skeletal remains from Roman times to the 19th century, hold secrets far more sinister than the church’s exterior lets on. Countless unsettling discoveries were made within those ancient walls, so many in fact, the crypts were sealed—perhaps to keep whatever lies buried from clawing its way back into the light. |
7 | An Eternal Tune |
St. Paul’s Cathedral may be grand, but when night falls, something wicked whistles. The Whistling Clergyman still haunts the All Souls’ Chapel, his eerie tune drifting through the air. Phantom organ music, ghostly cries, and doors that open by themselves—this sacred place is far from peaceful. Something unseen lingers in the dark, waiting. |
8 | Sinister Sways and a Haunted Bridge |
Nicknamed "The Wobbly Bridge" for its unsettling sway, the Millennium Bridge carries more than just people—it's said to carry a curse. Since its opening, eerie whispers have surfaced: ghostly figures in the mist, phantom splashes from the depths below, and an unsettling feeling of being watched. Some believe it's the souls of those lost to the River Thames, forever trying to cross to the other side. Whatever you do, don't jump. |
9 | Curses, Not Loud, But Deep, Mouth-Honour, Breath |
Shakespeare’s Globe may not scream "haunted," but its dark history tells another story. Crew members report a shadowy figure in Elizabethan garb watching rehearsals, footsteps echoing in empty halls, and phantom applause long after the show’s over. Tied to the Globe’s tragic past of fire, death, and drama, the ghosts still linger, waiting for their final act. |
10 | A Pub Where it’s Never Last Call |
This centuries-old pub is more than a watering hole—it's a haven for restless souls. The murdered smuggler still roams the halls, a woman in black lurks in the corners, and the spirits of patrons who never quite finished their last drink haunt the rooms. The beer may be cold, but the ghosts are colder… and they’re never ready to call it a night. |
11 | We’ve Saved the Worst For Last |
Once a place of unspeakable torture and death, The Clink Prison is now a museum—but its dark past refuses to stay buried. Visitors often report chilling screams, the eerie rattle of chains, and a malevolent presence lurking in the shadows. Many believe the vengeful ghost of “The Gaoler,” a cruel jailer, still haunts the site, forever seeking retribution. Beware—what’s left behind isn’t just history. |

The tour includes a local, fluent guide with expertise as a “Ripperologist,” who will take you on a walking tour through Whitechapel, exploring the mysteries of the infamous case.
How many people will be on a typical tour?
We keep our groups small and intimate, with a maximum of 20 participants per tour.
How long is the tour?
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
Can children join the tour?
Due to the graphic and violent nature of the content, this tour is not suitable for children and is not recommended for younger audiences.
Is this tour accessible for people with disabilities?
The route is mostly flat, but it can be crowded and may pose challenges for wheelchair users. Your guide will do their best to keep the group together and adjust the pace as needed to accommodate everyone.
Will we visit the Ripper's actual crime scenes?
While London has changed a lot since 1888, and some crime scenes no longer exist or have been built over (one is even beneath a school–we know, creepy right?), we will visit at least two exact locations where the victims were found.
Will the tour focus on the details of the crimes?
Yes, as a true crime tour, we’ll discuss the crimes in detail. However, we focus more on the victims’ lives before their tragic deaths. The guide will also show you real crime scene photos of the victims post-mortem, but you can choose not to look at them. A trigger warning will be given in advance.
What should I wear on the tour?
Comfortable shoes are recommended since we’ll be walking quite a bit. Also, bring an umbrella, as London’s weather can be unpredictable!

Yes! Our Jack the Ripper tour runs rain or shine. London weather is often rainy, and a little drizzle only adds to the spooky atmosphere!
Is it possible to upgrade to a private Jack the Ripper tour?
Yes! If you’re a true “Ripperologist” and prefer a more tailored experience, you can upgrade to a private tour for more in-depth insights into the Jack the Ripper case.
Is it safe to walking around London at night?
Like any major city, London can have its risks, but you’ll be guided by a local expert who knows the safest streets. The tour ends near Liverpool Street Station, and your guide will be happy to help with directions afterward.
Will we actually solve the case of Jack the Ripper?
The case remains unsolved, but your guide will present various theories that have emerged over the years. Feel free to bring your own ideas to the table!
